The Pancake People celebrates 10 consecutive years spreading love and cinnamon on The Binnekring this year! As part of their celebrations, they are having an outreach morning on Sunday 21st April 2024.
The Pancake People will teleport a typical morning on The Binnekring at The Pancake People all the way to Khoza Square in Masiphumelele, Noordhoek. Here they will connect two organisations that are doing great work with underprivileged children and host a Pancake Party for the kids. “Adopt a Capeflats Child” (part of adopt a rescue) and “The Bartosch Foundation” will be treated to love, connection and of course Pancakes as The Pancake People has come to be known for.
The sounds of electro swing will be pumping, the flippers will be doing their thing, games will be played, gifts will be handed out and most of all love will be shared!
“We take for granted having incredible childhood memories associated with a pancake and the intention is to share and create those wonderful memories with less fortunate kids.”
The Pancake People wishes to make this outreach day a Burn tradition, before heading into the Tankwa and calls on other theme camps and burners who are not already involved in initiatives, to either do something similar or simply donate to an organisation who is already doing great work. This way, it is NOT only The Binnekring where we as theme camps and burners spread our joy but we also spread love in the default world!
