AfrikaBurn 2024: 29 April to 5 May

Radical Self WHAT,?

RADICAL SELF-RELIANCE! There are always things that happen in the dust that we do not expect… and that is lots of fun. BUT. HUGE BUT. There is much that we can plan for NOW:

  • Pack your usual medications – taking a break in the dust is a BAD IDEA and can RUIN YOUR BURN with a SUPER HARD LESSON, even leading to you being taken off site with medical issues – just don’t do it. The burn is not the place to play roulette with your meds. If you are not sure what else your particular meds might mix well/badly with, call into HARM REDUCTION at SANCTUARY 12 noon to 6 pm each day to chat to Luke & Jade.
  • Allow enough water for yourself and those you are travelling with – and then DRINK IT – carry your water bottle EVERYWHERE at burn – you can avoid confusion through dehydration with water intake – alcohol does not hydrate you!
  • Pack warm clothes as well as those skimpy dance numbers – nights can be COLD in the dust!
See you there, Sanctuary will help where we can!
