AfrikaBurn 2023: 24 to 30 April


Is your blood type A for Art? Were you born to perform? Does your wanderlust have you
wondering where to from here? Well here it is Folks, the sign you’ve been waiting for –
entries are officially open for the 2018 “Hey You! Burner Exchange” at the Lakes of Fire
regional burn, just outside of Chicago, USA.
One lucky artist will represent AfrikaBurn and take their creative project over to Lakes of
Fire (June 13th – 17 th ). AfrikaBurn will cover the cost of your economy air ticket and visa application and provide R5 000 towards the cost of your project.
On the other side of the exchange you’ll get your ticket to Lakes of Fire at no cost and the
Secret Gentleman’s Club will be your host camp, providing transport to and from the event, a full meal plan and your camping supplies. Also on offer is a place to crash both before and after the event, workshop space and tools. Midwest hospitality is a real thing!
