AfrikaBurn 2026: 27 April to 3 May

The Tulpa collective launches Burner Shuttle, a new community-driven transport and fundraising initiative.

Tulpa artcar, an international Burner collective known for its creative energy and long-standing participation in AfrikaBurn, has officially launched BurnerShuttle.com, a new transport service designed to connect participants from Cape Town to Tankwa Karoo. The project is more than a travel solution: it is a fundraising initiative aimed at supporting the creation, development and sustainability of Tulpa’s project (art car & camp) for AfrikaBurn.

Since 2022, the Tulpa community has carried a vision of building an art car that embodies creativity and collaboration.

Every bus ticket purchased contributes directly to the camp’s infrastructure, equipment, and artistic ambitions, enabling the team to reduce its financial pressure and focus on delivering a meaningful and transformative experience in Tankwa.

BurnerShuttle.com was built with a clear intention, to remain accessible, transparent, and fully aligned with the ethos of the AfrikaBurn community. The shuttle offers a safe, comfortable and eco-conscious transport option for participants, while generating essential funding for Tulpa artcar. All proceeds flow into a dedicated reserve that supports everything from camp structures and shade to water systems, power solutions, décor, and artistic elements.

While also making the ride easier and more affordable for burners, this project actively supports the dream we’re building together,” says the Tulpa artcar team. “Every contribution helps us reduce debt and create this unique experience reflecting the spirit of the Burning community.

The website provides simple access to all shuttle information, ticket options, schedules, and FAQs, ensuring clarity for both new and returning participants. The goal is to make the journey smoother and more inclusive, especially for those arriving from abroad, on budget, or without access to a vehicle.

Burners visiting the site will also find transparent explanations about why the fundraiser exists, what it supports, and how their contribution directly contributes to the camp’s future. The initiative is meant to strengthen the bond within the community and invite more people to take part in the long-term story of Tulpa.
