AfrikaBurn is a movement that’s driving positive social change, creative experimentation, freedom of expression, and building community for far more than just a week in the desert.
With a strategic horizon in view, AfrikaBurn’s governance structure, a non-profit company and public benefit organisation, is actively seeking to elect a woman of colour to the Board as a Non-Executive Director, and currently has a seat vacant.
As an organisation rooted in collective growth, shared responsibility, and radical inclusion, we believe our leadership should reflect the vibrant diversity of our community.
It is preferred (but not required) that candidates standing for election have:
- been to the annual event in the Tankwa Karoo
- previous board experience
Non Executive Directors volunteer approximately 20 hours per month, including a monthly evening meeting.
Applications open 5 May and close 30 May
