AfrikaBurn 2026: 27 April to 3 May

AfrikaBurn Suppliers Policy

At AfrikaBurn, relying on suppliers is generally discouraged, as it conflicts with the principles of Radical Self Reliance, Decommodification & Communal Effort. However, in some cases, using suppliers can help bring large-scale creative projects to life. The Supplier Policy exists specifically to support registered creative projects by allowing them limited access to suppliers.

If you plan to use suppliers at AfrikaBurn, or arrange for goods to be delivered, you must follow the Supplier Policy. To register or clarify details, please email suppliers@afrikaburn.com

  • If you are transporting all your own camp and art materials (e.g., in your bakkie, trailer, or box truck), you do not need to register as a supplier.
  • All suppliers must be registered in order to access AfrikaBurn. A list of registered suppliers is available on the website so you can confirm the status of your chosen supplier.
  • The crew of each Creative Project is responsible for offloading deliveries and assisting with tasks such as tent setup.
  • Only registered creative projects may use external services/ suppliers. Registered creative projects will receive a unique Supplier Code, which must not be shared with friends or family.
  • For projects requiring a single, simple drop-off, registration with the Supplier Team is required. In these cases, the supplier may enter, meet the creative crew at the depot, and – together with a Supplier Depot representative – escort the delivery to the project’s camp. The supplier must then exit the site the same day.
    • Register a single-entry drop off.
    • An inventory of the delivery must be submitted in advance and will be checked on arrival.
    • Unregistered deliveries will not be allowed on-site unless they purchase a full event ticket. They are required to stop at the Supplier Depot to check-in.
    • The driver’s license must be left at the Depot and collected upon exit.
