Your donation ripples throughout South Africa, supporting rural teaching assistants, covering learners’ school fees, facilitating animal welfare inspections; and funding skill transfer, urban public art and community-based creative activities, for all ages.
These programmes are collaboratively designed, guiding principle-driven and community-led.
Formed from the ground up, the Dust Devils are critical to the momentum of AfrikaBurn’s culture. Monthly support builds resilience for our programmes helping them withstand shocks in our ‘world gone mad’.

THE GOLD DUST
In 2012, AfrikaBurn began setting its sights beyond the Binnekring, initiating Outreach to support community development in the Tankwa Karoo, principally through Elandsvlei NGK Skool.
Activities and creative social projects, grew through Streetopia, Spark Grants, and Blank Canvas Express.
In 2020, AfrikaBurn became a Section 18A Public Benefit Organisation. During the pandemic it enacted the Dignity Project and Eco-Trip. It has since added Hammerschool and Resilience in Shared Endeavour to its core year round programmes.
The movement has reached over 95 000 in South Africa and is growing beyond.
